How I teach
Understanding comes before shortcuts.
Lessons are tailored to the student. Different explanations work for different learners: diagrams and graphs can help visual learners, while interactive work and additional problem solving can make another concept click.
Make it participatory
Students are encouraged to ask questions, explain their thinking, and work through ideas actively.
Grow independence
The goal is a stronger learner who can make sense of new problems, not just copy a technique.

About me
Hi, I’m Ali Rizvi.
I am a Grade 7–12 private tutor committed to bringing out the best in students. I focus on mastery and understanding rather than memorizing formulas or procedures, and I tailor lessons to individual learning needs.
I encourage students to participate and ask questions. Visual learners may benefit from diagrams and graphs, while other students may benefit from more interactive work or additional problem solving.
My goal is to help students understand concepts thoroughly and become stronger, more independent learners. I am currently pursuing a degree in Integrated Mathematics and Computer Science at Ontario Tech University.

Free Saturday support for Grades 7–12.
The online Math & Science Community Club is available at no cost and does not require enrolment. Contact me for the Google Meet link. Classes are every Saturday unless otherwise mentioned, and students can receive 1-on-1 assistance.

Session preparation
A little preparation helps make session time useful.
- Provide an email address for session information or access where applicable.
- Have the interaction or setup requested for the session ready.
- A writing tablet is preferable when digital writing is required, but a normal mouse can work.
- Send material you want covered about a day before the session when possible.
- If a full day is not possible, sending material a few hours ahead is still useful.
- Materials can be sent by email or text.
